The Story Behind 2gether Travel

Hi, I’m Gerti, and together with my sister Joana, I’m behind 2gether Travel.

We share a love for nature, beautiful places, discovering new destinations, and experiencing everything this world has to offer. Joana has always been an important source of inspiration for me. She sometimes joins me on my travels, and we share many of the same passions that are at the heart of 2gether Travel.

Where It All Started

My love for travel started long before 2gether Travel existed. Since childhood, I have travelled often and had the chance to discover different places, experience new surroundings, take photographs, and create memories along the way. Travel gradually became much more than something I simply enjoyed doing. It became one of the things I loved most. For a long time, however, I kept most of those experiences to myself. I wasn’t sure whether the stories from my journeys, the photographs I had taken, or the places I had discovered were things I should share with other people.

As I grew older, I started asking myself a simple question:

Why not?

Why not share something that I genuinely love?

Why not show people the places I have visited, the experiences I have had, and everything I have learned along the way?

That simple thought eventually became the beginning of 2gether Travel.

Turning a Passion Into 2gether Travel

2gether Travel began as a desire, a hobby, and a passion. I wanted a place where I could share the experiences and knowledge I gained from travelling. I also wanted to share the destinations that impressed me, the natural beauty I discovered, the photographs I captured, and the memories that stayed with me after each journey. Over time, Joana became an important part of that journey too. Her love for nature, travelling, and discovering beautiful places brings another part of our shared story into 2gether Travel. Some journeys are mine, while others are experiences we get to share together.

That is also part of what the name 2gether Travel means to us.

Travel is often about more than the destination itself. It is about the people you experience it with, the moments you share, and the memories you bring home.

The Memories I Lost Along the Way

Not every travel memory from my childhood survived. When I was younger, I didn’t really understand how important it was to preserve photographs and videos properly. Because of that, many photos, videos, and memories from some of my earlier trips were lost over the years. Today, I see those memories very differently. Losing some of them taught me how valuable even the smallest moments from a journey can become. Now, I try to preserve more of what I experience. I take photographs, capture videos, remember the details, and keep the stories behind the places I visit.

Most importantly, I can now share those experiences with other people instead of allowing them to disappear with time.

Why We Share Our Journeys

For me, travelling is about curiosity. It is about discovering landscapes we have never seen before, finding beautiful places, experiencing nature, and learning something new from every journey. Some destinations leave you with incredible photographs. Others leave you with stories. And sometimes, the simplest moments become the memories you remember the longest.

Through 2gether Travel, we want to share those moments with you.

We want to show you the places we discover, share what we experience, and pass on the things we learn along the way. Not every journey will be perfect, and not every destination will be the same as we imagined it before arriving. That is part of travelling too.

What matters to us is sharing the experience as genuinely as possible.

What 2gether Travel Means to Me

2gether Travel brings together many of the things we love: travel, nature, photography, beautiful destinations, new experiences, and the excitement of discovering somewhere we have never been before.

For me personally, it is also a way to turn years of travel memories and experiences into something that can be shared with others. There is still an enormous amount of the world we haven’t seen. There are places we haven’t visited, landscapes we haven’t photographed, cultures we haven’t experienced, and stories that haven’t happened yet.

And that is exactly what makes this journey exciting. 2gether Travel is still growing, just like our own journey is still growing. As we continue discovering the world, we hope to keep creating memories, learning from every destination, and sharing those experiences with you.
